ABOUT
Born and raised in Iceland, Bragi (Bri) Olafsson studied music from an early age. He graduated from Iceland’s most prestigious jazz school, FIH, and obtained a degree in guitar performance.
Soon after moving to the UK for further studies, he was introduced to Bluegrass Music, which quickly became his focus.
He plays with bluegrass/jazz band Jæja (jaejamusic.com) and sits in with various bands on the British bluegrass scene.

Bragi has taught private lessons throughout his years as guitarist. He will be teaching the bluegrass guitar course at the October weekend of Sore Fingers this year, the UK’s main bluegrass camp.

He has years of experience in bluegrass, jazz, accompanying singers and more. As well as being a musician he holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology.
